Carlisle Leisure Limited's core statement of values and beliefs is:
"We are here to create and deliver quality leisure opportunities to customers with the highest level of service and representing excellent value for money. We recognise the urgent need for reductions in the use of fossil fuels, the pesticides and other potentially damaging chemicals and will act to reduce our impact on the environment in these and other areas"

|
Carlisle Leisure Limited is a not for profit company established in 2002 for the purpose of managing the leisure facilities for Carlisle City Council. As a company with charitable purposes we are recognised by the Inland Revenue and are able to benefit from rate relief, VAT advantages and corporation tax. This means that we are able to reinvest any financial surplus back into the services we provide for the community. We are governed by rules of an Industrial Provident Society set by the Financial Services Authority. Our main aim is to improve the quality of life for the people of the communities we operate in and to provide facilities for recreation and leisure in the interests of social welfare, health and education. From the 1st April 2004 the company expanded and entered into a second partnership with Allerdale Borough Council. Whilst Carlisle Leisure Limited does not have a predatory policy for growth we will explore local opportunities where they present themselves and it in the interests of both parties. A further agreement with Cumbria County Council and Richard Rose Morton Academy to reopen and operate a community swimming pool was also achieved during the year. In September 2005 Trinity Leisure Centre opened, a partnership between Carlisle Leisure Limited and Trinity School. The latest addition to the Carlisle Leisure portfolio is The new £3million Wave Centre in Maryport. Once again we are working in partnership with Allerdale Borough Council to manage this new entertainment, heritage and conferencing centre. Click here to download our 5 Year Strategy |
