St James Park

Located in Carlisle’s Denton Holme, St James Park features a superb quality bowling green as well as two floodlit outdoor sports areas suitable for tennis, football and basketball.

All activities are pay as you play, although it is wise to check before setting off as St James’ also hosts a number of local teams and leagues. The less energetic might wish to simply enjoy the park while the youngsters play in the children’s play area.

The park is open: May to September; Monday to Friday 1pm to dusk, Saturday 1pm to 5pm. October to April; Monday to Thursday 5.30pm to 9.30pm.
