Wave Centre Maryport

The Wave Centre, is an revolutionary £3.3million Entertainment Hertiage and Conference Centre situated in the lovely seaside town of Maryport, on Cumbria’s West Coast.

The complex features a 234 seater theatre/cinema, ( 300 standing) with state of the art acoustics and lighting equipment.  The theatre can be divided in two with soundproof partitions for a smaller more intimate venue.  It’s a multi functional space that can be used for local shows, professional performances, concerts, award ceremonies, training events, conferences , weddings , parties etc and has a cinema screen, to show new, old films and programmes.

The Wave holds themed nights , children’s entertainment and drama groups. The Centre is also used for local community events. 

We have a visitor centre depicting the history of Maryport, with Interactive displays and education facility, a 50 seater café/bistro , serving light lunches and  snacks during the day and a bistro menu in the evening.

There is also a gift shop , which stocks crafts and cards aswell as an extensive range of gifts and novelties.The Centre also houses the Tourist Information Centre for the town providing information on local events, attractions and accommodation.
